Before you begin make sure you,

  • Have installed the RSA SecurID Software Token application from the iTunes App Store on your iPhone

  • Have at least 10-15 minutes to complete this process
  • Read through the instructions
  • Have access to a PC workstation with an Internet connection
  • Have your mobile device in hand

To be able to utilize your software token on your smartphone, you will need to successfully import your RSA software token and set your PIN. Please follow the instructions in the order they are presented.

Part 1: Import Software Token from an E-mail hyperlink

On your Mobile device do the following:

Part 2: Setting a PIN (Personal Identification Number)

1. On your computer go to https://fixtoken.ups.com/

2. Select the link Log into the UPS SecurID Self Service Site to launch the Log on screen.

3. Click on the link Login using Challenge Questions Franklin covey planning software.

4. Enter your RSA SecurID in the User ID field

5. Click on the Challenge Questions shield to log in using your challenge questions and answers

6. Enter your challenge question answers, click Submit Answer

7. From the Home Tab, click on the link Change or Set PIN

8. Answer your challenge questions again, click Submit Answer

9. Set your new PIN (Personal Identification Number), according to the on screen PIN complexity requirements.

10. Click Submit

11. You will receive a PIN Set Confirmation message upon successful PIN creation

12. Click Close

Part 3: Validate Your Token

13. From your computer click on Test Your Token

14. From your moble device, open the RSA application

15. At the Enter PIN screen, enter the PIN you just created, tap to generate a passcode

16. On your computer, in the Passcode field, enter the passcode that is displayed on your device, without spaces

17. Click Test Login

18. The message Authentication Success indicates your token is ready to use

19. Click Close

  • If you need remote access to your work computer’s hard drive, network drives, or your Outlook personal folders, you will need to fill out the Remote Access Info Sheet for Macs.

How to Connect Using VPN

  1. Open up Safari and proceed to the WSTF VPN Homepage at https://vpn.wstf.jsc.nasa.gov. Agree to all security warnings to get to the homepage. NOTE: Safari is the only browser that is compatible with the WSTF VPN Homepage on a Macintosh.
  2. Disable all Safari pop-up blockers – NOTE: If you do not disable the pop-blockers, you will not be able to install the network connect software.
  3. Enter your NDC domain account User ID and password into the appropriate fields on the homepage.
  4. Enter your RSA PIN and Token Code into the appropriate field on the homepage. PLEASE NOTE: If you are a FIRST TIME TOKEN USER, you will only need to enter your Token Code.
  5. Click the 'Sign In' button.
    FIRST TIME TOKEN USERS: You will only need to enter your 6-digit Token Code, then click 'Sign In.' You will then be prompted to set a new Token PIN.
    - PINs must be exactly 8 characters long and alphanumeric.
    - Example: If your RSA pin number is '1234abcd' and your token code is '024 126', you would enter '1234abcd024126' in the 'RSA PIN + Token Code' field.
    - Once the PIN is set, WAIT 15 MINUTES before logging in with your RSA PIN and Token Code.
  6. Allow all software clients to install on your machine.
  7. Click the “Start” button to launch the Juniper Network Connect Client and begin your VPN session.
  8. Once you see the Network Connect icon, in the dock and the following window appears, you are connected to the JSC internal network.

  9. When you are finished with your VPN session, click the “Sign Out” button in the Juniper Network Connect Window to close the VPN connection to the JSC network.
